What
This workshop provides a quick insight into the workings of the money markets and gives an overview of the various money market instruments available today The workshop will address money market instruments such as inter bank deposit transactions, certificates of deposits (CDs), commercial papers (CPs), bankers acceptances (BAs), treasury bills (TBs), and repurchase agreements (Repos).

Why
Participants will also benefit from applied learning sessions on the workings of short-dated over-the-counter interest rate derivatives including the overnight index swap (OIS), forward rate agreement (FRA) and the short dated interest rate swap (IRS). The building blocks and mathematical derivation of yield-enhanced cross-asset linked structured deposits and hybrid money market certificates will also be explained. The workshop will also discuss the changes observed in the money markets during and after the credit crisis.
